UK Community Foundations

The Community Foundation Network (as it was known) is one of the UK’s leading charitable associations, representing fifty-five regional Community Foundations that help people and companies invest money, time and skills in their communities, whilst also developing grant and investment programmes.

Although a major charity, our research revealed
that CFN had a problem with awareness and understanding of its national role. In support of a
step-change in profile – internally and externally –
we developed a new name to reflect more readily CFN’s national positioning, plus new identity, strap-line and narrative around the idea of ‘Helping build thriving communities’ – the end-benefit of all that they and their members do.

Implementation included a ‘Marketing & Communications Tool-kit’ for use by each local Community Foundation to ensure consistency
of message across the movement, supported
by guidelines on how they should be endorsed
by the UKCF brand.
